I love old barns. We have one and we don't do much with it, but I like how they look. I seem to always be taking pictures of barns around where we live, so I thought I'd share them with you! My goal is to share another barn every Sunday. Hope you enjoy!
This barn is one we pass regularly. I like its unique color. I always wonder what stories these old barns could tell. Who built it? When? Why? What was its purpose? What unusual things has it sheltered? What is it used for now? And for this barn, why did they paint it blue?
no kidding. you know the saying "if these walls could talk" ... i wish the barns could talk ... i bet there would be tons of stories to tell. oh the fun. (:
I love to see changes in ugly things--whether it's new grass after the brown of winter, a free beat-up dresser that becomes a beauty after a few coats of paint, or a life once in shambles that's worth living again. One of my favorite quotes in the Bible is Isaiah 61:3, specifically how God will "give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified." Now that's a life with meaning!
I think a blue barn is totally unique and totally cool!
ReplyDeleteIt sure does match that beautiful blue sky! =)
